Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup diced apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp)
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup whole milk
- ½ cup pure maple syrup (for glaze)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Gather and prepare ingredients; core and dice apples.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and milk until frothy; combine with dry ingredients.
- Gently fold in diced apples.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet until shimmering at 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides (about 3 minutes per side).
- Drain on paper towels and glaze with a mixture of maple syrup and powdered sugar.
