Description

Delicious apple cinnamon fritters perfect for a sweet breakfast or snack!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup diced apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup (for glaze)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Gather and prepare ingredients; core and dice apples.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and milk until frothy; combine with dry ingredients.
  4. Gently fold in diced apples.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet until shimmering at 350°F (175°C).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides (about 3 minutes per side).
  7. Drain on paper towels and glaze with a mixture of maple syrup and powdered sugar.
