Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 cup sliced almonds (plus extra for topping)
  • Whole almonds (optional for garnish)
  • Granulated sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to the wet mixture.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and sliced almonds. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Scoop dough onto a lined baking tray. Top with extra sliced almonds, whole almonds, and a pinch of sugar.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden around the edges.

Notes
