Description
Delicious and perfectly cooked salmon fillets seasoned with a blend of spices and cooked to flaky perfection in an air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (approx. 6 ounces each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F, if your air fryer requires preheating.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, dried thyme, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Pat the salmon dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Brush each fillet with olive oil, then season generously on the top and sides with the prepared spice mixture (it’s ok if you don’t use it all).
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side down, leaving a little space between each piece so the hot air can circulate evenly.
- Air fry for 7 to 9 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F at the thickest part.
- Carefully remove the cooked salmon from the air fryer and transfer it to a plate. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges and chopped parsley, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the salmon fillets.
- Serve with a side of vegetables or a salad for a complete meal.
