Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup cherry preserves (or cherry pie filling)
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips (optional for drizzle)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Beat softened butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add egg and vanilla, then beat until fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Slowly mix dry ingredients into the wet for a deep chocolate dough with perfect texture.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Use your thumb (or a spoon) to press a well in the center.
  6. Add about ½ tsp cherry preserves into each well.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until just set.
  8. Cool slightly, then drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle flaky salt.
