Description

A deliciously rich Cookies and Cream Deluxe Cake that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (e.g., Oreos)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or blocks
  • Whole chocolate sandwich cookies and chocolate candies (e.g., Hershey’s Kisses) for decoration
  • Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Prepare the Cake Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    • Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.
    • Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth (it will be thin).
  3. Bake the Cake:
    • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans to cool completely on wire racks.
  4. Prepare the Frosting:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
    • Gently fold in 2 cups of the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies into the whipped cream.
  5. Assemble the Cake:
    • Place one cake layer on a serving plate.
    • Spread a layer of cookies and cream frosting over the cake.
    • Place the second layer on top and spread the remaining frosting over the top and sides of the cake.
  6. Decorate the Cake:
    • Press white chocolate pieces, whole chocolate sandwich cookies, and chocolate candies around the cake.
    • Sprinkle the top with remaining crushed chocolate sandwich cookies for garnish.

Notes

  • Ensure your cakes are completely cooled before frosting to prevent the frosting from melting.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding a layer of chocolate ganache between the cake layers.
  • Make sure the whipped cream is very cold before whipping to ensure it thickens properly.
  • Use a serrated knife to level the cake layers for a more professional look.
