Slow Cooker Balsamic Beef

Description

A flavorful and tender slow-cooked balsamic beef roast.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds boneless chuck roast
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup beef broth or stock
  • ⅔ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Place roast in crockpot. I use a 5 quart slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle roast with salt.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together broth, vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Pour the broth mixture around the roast.
  5. Cover, and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  6. Shred beef with two forks, and return to crockpot.
  7. Continue cooking for an additional 30-60 minutes.

  • This recipe can be served with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
