Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos

Description

Delicious slow cooker chicken tacos that are easy to make and full of flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (cubed and softened)
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheese
  • flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, add cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper, mix well.
  2. Place chicken breast in the bottom of slow cooker. Pour the seasoning mixture and the water into crock.
  3. Cook on low for 4 hours.
  4. Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred with 2 forks.
  5. Return the chicken to the crock pot. Mix in the cream cheese and 1/4 cup shredded cheese.
  6. Warm flour tortillas and spread a small amount of chicken mixture onto the tortillas.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Roll up.
  8. Serve with additional toppings such as sour cream, salsa and avocado.
