A delicious and hearty recipe for cube steak cooked in a crock pot with gravy, served over egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lbs Cube steak
  • 1 package onion soup mix (1 ounce)
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (10 ounces each)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Place 1 pounds of beef, 2 packages of onion soup mix, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, and 1 cup of beef broth in a 6 quart crock pot.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  3. 1 hour before serving, combine 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and 1/2 cup of water together in a small bowl.
  4. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the crock pot and cook on high for 1 hour to help thicken your gravy.
  5. While the sauce is thickening, cook the egg noodles based on the package instructions.
  6. Serve the steak and gravy over 12 ounces of egg noodles and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to stir the gravy well to avoid lumps from the cornstarch.
  • This meal pairs well with a side of vegetables or salad.
