Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pastry Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
    • Add cubed butter and rub in with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
    • Add the egg yolk and cold water, mix until a dough forms.
    • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Shape the Tarts:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
    • Use a round cutter to cut out circles and place them into a greased tart tin.
