- 2–3 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup strawberry or raspberry jam
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- Green and red icing for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare the Pastry Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add cubed butter and rub in with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Add the egg yolk and cold water, mix until a dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Shape the Tarts:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Use a round cutter to cut out circles and place them into a greased tart tin.
- Press gently to shape the shells and prick the bottoms with a fork.
- Fill the Tarts:
- Spoon a small amount of jam into each tart shell, filling about halfway.
- Bake the Tarts:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Prepare the White Chocolate Topping:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips with heavy cream in 20-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Spoon melted chocolate over the cooled tarts.
- Decorate:
- Use green and red icing to draw holly leaves and berries on top of each tart.
