Description
Delicious sautéed button mushrooms in a garlic butter sauce, perfect as a side dish or topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound button mushrooms (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoons garlic (minced, about 3 cloves)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon Italian parsley (chopped for garnish)
Instructions
- Using a damp paper towel, gently wipe off the mushrooms.
- Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium high heat and add the butter. Once hot, add the mushrooms and cook for about 3 minutes, tossing occasionally.
- Add the minced garlic and stir to coat the mushrooms in the butter and garlic. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mushrooms are golden brown on several sides.
- Season with salt and pepper and stir to coat. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm. Enjoy!
Notes
- Using a damp paper towel instead of rinsing the mushrooms helps to maintain their texture and flavor.
- Adjust the garlic amount based on your preference for stronger or milder garlic flavor.
