- 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
- 1 lb baby potatoes
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and halve the baby potatoes if necessary for even cooking.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of butter, and sear the seasoned steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and halved baby potatoes. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and fork-tender.
- Add minced garlic to the potatoes and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return the steak to the skillet along with any resting juices; simmer on low for a few minutes to meld flavors.
- Toss everything with melted butter before serving hot.
