Description
Deliciously crispy air fryer fries made from fresh Russet potatoes and tossed in a flavorful garlic-Parmesan mixture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium Russet Potatoes
- 1–2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt (To taste)
- Black Pepper (To taste)
- 3 cloves Fresh Garlic (Minced)
- ¼–½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
Instructions
- Scrub potatoes well, then cut them into uniform ½-inch sticks for even cooking.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for about 15-30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain thoroughly and pat perfectly dry.
- In a bowl, toss the dry potato sticks with olive oil, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- Arrange fries in a single layer in the basket and air fry for 12-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
- While fries are cooking, whisk together the minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, and dried oregano.
- Transfer the hot, cooked fries to a large bowl and immediately toss them with the garlic-Parmesan mixture until fully coated.
Notes
- High starch content in the Russet potatoes ensures crispiness.
- You can substitute olive oil with avocado oil or grapeseed oil.
- For a different flavor, consider using Pecorino Romano cheese or nutritional yeast instead of Parmesan.
