Description

A delicious and easy recipe for grilled garlic herb shrimp, perfect for a quick meal or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinade Preparation: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dried oregano, and half of the chopped parsley. Mix well.
  2. Marinate Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the marinade, tossing to coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
  4. Grilling the Shrimp: Thread the shrimp onto skewers for easy grilling. Place the skewers on the hot grill. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Finishing Touches: Once done, remove the shrimp from the grill. Sprinkle the remaining fresh parsley over them.
  6. Serving: Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for added flavor.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Ensure grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, based on preference for saltiness or citrus.
