Delicious homemade garlic knots made with fresh herbs and active dry yeast.
Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter (for browning)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp mixed fresh herbs (parsley and thyme)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour and salt; mix until combined.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and cook for another minute.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the knots with the brown butter mixture before baking for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Ensure the water is not too hot when activating the yeast to avoid killing it.
- Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
