- 1 package (17 oz) puff pastry sheets (2 sheets)
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 cup leeks, finely chopped (white part only)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into squares.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add leeks and mushrooms; sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat and stir in cream cheese until smooth.
- Spoon the mushroom-leek mixture onto each pastry piece. Fold over or cover with another layer of pastry.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a golden finish, ensure to brush the pastries well with the egg wash.
- You can season the mushroom-leek mixture with additional herbs to taste.
