Description
A refreshing raspberry lemonade perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (220 g) granulated sugar
- 7 cups (1 L) water, divided
- 2 cups (500 mL) freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 10–12 lemons)
- 1 ½ cups (245 g) fresh raspberries
- Lemon slices and extra raspberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan stir together the granulated sugar and 1 cup (250 mL) water. Heat over medium-low and continue to stir until the sugar has dissolved, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Add the raspberries and ½ cup (125 mL) water to the bowl of a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, using a spoon to push the mixture through, and add to a large pitcher or jar.
- Add the lemon juice, remaining 5 ½ cups (1 L) water, and cooled sugar mixture to the pitcher. Stir to combine.
- Serve over ice with extra lemon slices and raspberries for garnish if preferred.
Notes
- For best flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on taste.
